The word COACH originates from the 15th-century Hungarian village of Kocs (pronounced koch). Famous for innovating comfortable, four-wheeled, spring-suspended horse-drawn carriages, the town’s name spawned the Hungarian word kocsi (literally, "wagon of Kocs").

The city of Kocs, later translated to Coach, was the recognized hub for the world's best stage coaches. The stage coach was the vehicle of the time known for safely transporting people from Point A to Point B.
