ATTENTION IDYLLWILD GANGSTERS!

We’re starting production on our second Scene Night at The Peak. We were thrilled with the response we got from Idyllwild for our 1st production in February so here we go again!

Actors, please come to the Courtyard Gallery, directly behind the Shell Station, this Tuesday, March 11 at 6:30pm, to read different mobster scenes we will be casting/performing in the gorgeous theatre over The Peak Restaurant and Bar, Friday May 16th, Saturday 17th, with a matinee performance on the 18th.

You do not need a “headshot.” Please just bring any photo you have of yourself, that looks like you. ACTING EXPERIENCE IS NOT REQUIRED and we need males and females of all ages. Note that we are open to casting males in traditionally female roles and vice versa.

REHEARSALS WILL BEGIN IMMEDIATELY AND THE SCHEDULE IS FLEXIBLE! Each scene is 5-10 minutes long so it’s not too hard to memorize your lines. We will be performing 11 short scenes total from these 8 epic gangstuh sagas:

1. Donny Brasco
2. Godfather I
3. Godfather II
4. Sopranos
5. Scarface
6. Goodfellas
7. Casino
8. A Bronx Tale

There is no cost to participate but you are responsible for providing your own props and wardrobe.

Many thanks to Idyllwild for coming out for our Scene Night at The Peak last month. The house was packed both performances! And… Cast pot luck party was a wild event with tons of food! We’re thrilled that The Peak is again hosting our next Scene Night with performances May 16-18. Three shows! This production is called Idyllwild Gangsters and will be starring your friends and neighbors, performing scenes from your fave mob movies! Watch for upcoming post re auditions. No acting experience is required and our shows are always free to Idyllwild because we want everyone to have access to live community theatre! ⛰️🎭⛰️🎭

Opening night is upon us! Please help us get community theatre going in Idyllwild! Admission is free and The Peak’s waiters will be taking your food and drink orders if you’re hungry/thirsty! Many of our actors are performing for the very 1st time! Please support us, Idyllwild! 🎭

Anyone have an any color/condition 24x36 poster frame we can use for our shows at the peak this Friday and Saturday night? If you have a poster in it, I’ll safely keep it in a tube till I put it back in the frame and return it to you on Sunday. Don’t want to have to drive off the hill and buy one just for two nights, ya know? Let me know and thanks! 🎭

Thelma and Louise will be performing at Scene Night at The Peak, this Friday and Saturday night, 7pm. This is the closest to dinner theatre you’ll get in Idyllwild. Come hungry and thirsty. Admission is free!🎭

Anyone have a top hat and cane Idyllwild’s song and dance man, Matty McIntosh, can use when he sings and dances to Teacher’s Pet from Waiting for Guffman in our Scene Night at The Peak? He’s paying tribute to one of his heroes, Parker Posey! Show is February 7 and 8! Thanks! Sammy
