Forests clean our air and water, shelter wildlife, supply renewable resources and provide spaces for recreation. The Forest Service manages 193 million acres of national forests and grasslands so these benefits last for generations.

Today, take a moment to appreciate the role forests play in your life. Learn more about how our agency works to sustain healthy, resilient forests at https://www.fs.usda.gov/managing-land/national-forests-grasslands. (Forest Service photo by Preston Keres.)

Our Forest Service Volunteer Association Trail Crew has been busy out on Fobes Trail, despite the cold and windy weather!
They hiked up to Fobes Saddle for the day, hiked a total of seven miles and brushed a total of a mile on the PCT in 8.5 hours!
Many thanks for all their hard work keeping our trails clear, including the Pacific Crest Trail in our San Jacinto Wilderness!
Are you ready to join our outstanding trail crew or other areas of interest in our San Jacinto Mountains & Wilderness?
