Idabel Public Library

Well...if you weren't at the library this afternoon, you definitely missed out. ๐
We had a fantastic turnout for our America 250 program featuring David Reed from the Fort Towson Historic Site, and he had everyone captivated with stories of life in this part of Indian Territory from 1830โ1860, long before Oklahoma became a state. He even brought along authentic reproductions of the everyday items a soldier would have carried while stationed at the fort, giving everyone a fascinating glimpse into frontier life.
Our audience asked great questions, we gave away door prizes, and everyone enjoyed delicious cookies and donuts courtesy of Casey's. It was a wonderful afternoon of history, conversation, and community.
A huge thank-you to David Reed for sharing his knowledge and to everyone who joined us. And to those who skipped it...don't worryโwe'll keep planning amazing programs, but you'll just have to hear about the next one on Facebook too. ๐
