🍾Happy new year everyone! 🍾
It has been a while since I have done a post so I’m so glad to be back.
It has been great reading all of the empowering and hopeful content on social media as it relates to what we can create for ourselves for this new year.
While there are some specific things I would like to create for myself in the areas of health, my business, and my finances, I am well aware that those areas will only change as my mindset in those areas change.
In this picture above, I am holding a candle my sister got me for Christmas (which smells amazing by the way). The word on this candle is clarity. One of the mindset shifts that I plan to work on to help me gain more clarity in my life is ceasing to worry about what others think of me and what I am doing.
Worrying about the opinion of others has been a huge barrier to freely being my authentic self. Being a recovering people pleaser, I realized that I felt safest when others approved if me; so what people thought of me mattered...really mattered.
However, as I continue to do my own inner work, and come into my own womanhood as I define it, I am well aware that the approval of others do not guarantee safety, neither do I NEED it. I NEED to authentically be me.
So I am ready to work on this outdated mindset. How about you?
✨Can you relate to this?
✨Who would you be if you stopped worrying about other people?
✨How would your life be different?
✨What mindset shift would you like to let go in 2021?

Do you decorate for the holidays?
The truth is I did not when I was single and living on my own. While I enjoyed the holiday decorations of others, I was just too lazy to decorate my own space.
I did not start feeling motivated to decorate until I had a family. Wanting to create happy memories for my sons was a huge motivating factor. It has brought me joy, not only for them, but also for myself.
However, if I could do it over again, I would have taken the time to decorate during my single days. Waiting to celebrate and enjoy life only when you reach a particular goal should not be. It is not necessary and could be counter productive.
Allow your brain to experience joy NOW!! The dopamine released from joy can lift depression and anxiety, and can increase motivation to keep working towards that goal.
Celebrate NOW! 🎉

Hello ladies! I know I have been away from social media for a while, but I am back! I have missed the Internet community and my goal is to stay much more connected and consistent. Is there anything you were still working on? Are they still some goals you are trying to fit in before the year is over?
For me I am still working on trying to get a self-care routine that fits with my lifestyle as I juggle being a wife, a mother, and a new entrepreneur. I have had moments when I felt I was on top of my game, and then moments when I feel like I have fell fallen flat on my face.
But I am not giving up; and neither should you.
2020 is not over yet and I still need to take care of myself throughout the rest of this year. I am recommitting to healthy foods and movement.
What are you still working on?

The hustle and bustle of the holidays will soon be upon us. Everyone will be, if they haven’t already started, demanding your time, attention, and money, leaving you little time for you to think about what you want and need as the year 2020 comes to an end.
Do something different this time. Be proactive about how you want to close this year out. You already put in so much effort making it through an unpredictable year, you deserve to be intentional about how you plan to experience the holidays.
Join me this Sunday at 5 pm for my free Masterclass “Self-Care Strategies During the Holiday Season.”
Look forward to seeing you there!
