As we wrap up Alzheimerβs & Brain Awareness Month, we remind all that brain health matters at every stage of working life.
Across many industries, experienced workers are staying in the workforce longer, bringing valuable knowledge, skill, and leadership. Supporting cognitive health helps protect both the individual and the workplace as a whole.
Simple habits can make a difference on the job:
π§ Take short breaks to reset focus during long tasks
π§ Stay hydrated throughout the workday
π Use checklists and written steps for complex tasks
π΄ Prioritize rest outside of work hours
πΆ Move regularly when possible to support circulation and focus
Did you know? Research from occupational health organizations, including the CDC and NIOSH, shows that fatigue and cognitive overload can significantly increase the risk of workplace errors and injuries.
At PPI, we believe workforce development includes more than training skills. It also means supporting the long-term health, safety, and performance of the people who keep our workplaces running every day.

At PPI, we recognize the profound impact African Americans have made, and continue to make, across the industries we serve. From healthcare and education to workplace safety, leadership, and skilled professions, their innovation, expertise, and dedication have helped strengthen our communities and shape future generations.
Today, PPI joins communities across the country in recognizing Juneteenth, a day that honors freedom, resilience, and the enduring contributions of African Americans throughout our nation's history.
One meaningful fact about Juneteenth is that the first celebrations began in 1866, when newly freed African Americans gathered with their families and communities to celebrate freedom through education, faith, music, food, and cultural traditions that continue today.
As an organization committed to learning and professional development, we believe that honoring history is an important part of building a more informed, inclusive, and empowered workforce.

Great healthcare professionals never stop learning. ππ©Ά
This CNA Week, we're celebrating the professionals who continue learning, growing, and making a difference.
Working as a CNA develops practical skills that are valuable throughout a healthcare career and often transferable to many other healthcare roles.
π‘ Did you know? CNA training programs typically include instruction in infection prevention, patient safety, communication, resident rights, and emergency procedures, creating a strong foundation for future career growth.
At PPI, we believe workforce development is about building skills that prepare people for long-term success while helping meet today's healthcare needs. ππ©Ά
