What an incredible day at the 2026 Hatfield McCoy Marathon!

Almost 600 runners from 40 states crossed the finish line yesterday in either Matewan, WV or Williamson, WV. Thank you to everyone who traveled to the mountains of southern West Virginia to be part of this special event.

We are excited to be part of the new West Virginia Cryptid Race Series and to help direct the 2026 Elk River Trail Races featuring Bigfoot in Clay and the Braxton County Monster in Gassaway.

These events highlight not only the legends of West Virginia but also the incredible trail systems and small town communities that make racing here special.

We look forward to showcasing the beauty of the Elk River Trail and bringing runners an unforgettable experience.
