From all of us at Law Office of Angela Schmidt (formerly LegalDocsA2Z) — my family, our team, and our beloved protection dog Major — we wish you a joyful and relaxing holiday weekend.
This year’s Labor Day post is dedicated entirely to Major. Originally, we brought him into our lives to be a protection dog, specially bred in Czechoslovakia. Over time, he has become so much more — our loyal companion and a cherished member of the family.
Like many of you, I spend much of my time balancing a busy law practice and CPA studies, and I often feel guilty for not giving him as much attention as he deserves. So, during the holidays and weekends, we make a special effort to do what he loves most — not just what’s convenient for us. This year, instead of a long trip into the forest (as we first imagined, since Major’s spirit is as close to a wolf as you can get!), we found the perfect local escape: Huntington Beach Central Park. With its little forest trails and peaceful lake, it was the perfect spot — and Major loved every moment of it.

🌸 Happy International Women's Day! 🌸

Today, as we celebrate this special day that has been recognized for over 100 years, I am reminded of the beautiful traditions from the former Soviet Union, where March 8th is a celebration of spring, love, and appreciation for women.

I am overwhelmed with gratitude for the heartfelt messages and gestures I've received today. The surprise of flowers arriving at my doorstep from thoughtful clients has truly touched my heart. It's moments like these that remind us to be grateful for everything we have, the kindness we share, and the people who enrich our lives.

Working in family law, I encounter many emotionally charged situations, making today's expressions of appreciation even more significant. It reassures me that compassion and respect can indeed make a profound impact.

Attached is a photo of the stunning flowers with an amazing card sent by one of my clients. Their thoughtfulness is a beacon of light on this day of global celebration. To all the strong and inspiring women in my life and to those I have the privilege to represent, thank you for your trust, resilience, and the opportunity to do my best for you.
