This very clear sea-surface temperature image was taken from the satellites this morning of the Central Gulf. That yellow area is water in the mid 70s, the red is water in the high 70s to low 80s. The second image shows the current overlay. Notice the clockwise rotating, warm-water eddy where the yellow area meets the darker red. That's a good sign for offshore pelagic action and something keep a close eye on.
