Airtech is proud to support Alpha Additive on an ACADIA 2025 project that pushed the limits of a traditional 3-axis gantry system.

The design included multiple 60° overhangs that are extremely challenging to print on gantry-style LFAM, yet the team produced the full 3,000 lb, eight-piece structure in one continuous run.

Key to this achievement was Dahltram® T-100GF, Airtech’s recycled-grade, glass-fiber reinforced thermoplastic composite resin designed for pellet-fed LFAM systems.

Other materials tested could not provide the melt strength, stiffness, and thermal stability needed for the extreme angles, but T-100GF delivered the consistency required to complete the build without failure.

The pavilion remained on the FIU campus throughout the month of November as a research platform exploring computational design, recycled composites, and LFAM workflows before being showcased at ALCOVA 2025.
