Happy National Go Fishing Day 🎣 Ok…first we have to admit-we are not fishermen/women. But we do get the question about where to go fishing a lot, so…we consulted the experts and here is what we learned. With over 520 miles of shoreline Lake Norman (also referred to as the inland sea) has tons of fishing options even if you don’t have a boat. Here are some top picks for fishing around the shoreline: •Lake Norman State Park: You can fish from the banks of this quiet area. They also have a fishing pier. •Ramsey Creek Park: Family-friendly with easy water access with the larger Patriot Pier. •Jetton Park: Scenic shorelines and piers. The park can get a little busy so you’ll have to find a quiet spot! •Beatty’s Ford Park: Peaceful spot and has a large fishing pier located near n Denver. We hear that the fish usually are biting early morning or late afternoon and it’s best to use local bait that is sold a many marina’s and gas stations around the Lake. The experts have also told us that when fishing on the shore you have to be quiet (which is why the Jeter | Abernethy Group would have a hard time catching anything. 😂).
