Does your foot drop seem worse some days than others?

You’re not imagining it.

For many people with neurologic conditions like multiple sclerosis, foot drop can fluctuate throughout the day depending on what’s happening in your body.

Three common reasons include:

🔥 Heat – Even a small increase in body temperature can temporarily worsen nerve conduction, making it harder to lift the foot.

😴 Fatigue – As your muscles tire, clearing your toes during walking often becomes more difficult.

💪 Spasticity – Increased muscle tightness or reactivity in the calf muscle can limit ankle movement and make walking feel less smooth.

Understanding why your symptoms change is an important part of finding strategies that work for you.

Have you noticed your foot drop gets worse with heat, fatigue, or something else? Let me know in the comments.
