Yesterday, our MissionLIFE Austin adventure made a splash at Schlitterbahn! 🌊☀️💙

From floating the lazy river to enjoying water slides, wave pools, snacks, laughter, and time together, our participants had an absolute blast soaking up every moment of the day! Trips like these are filled with fun, but they also create meaningful opportunities for confidence building, social connection, independence, communication, and community inclusion.

One of the things we love most about MissionLIFE is that these experiences are designed for ALL participants, regardless of support needs. Whether someone needs mobility assistance, personal care support, extra encouragement, sensory accommodations, or help navigating new environments, our team works hard to ensure everyone has the opportunity to fully participate, make memories, and feel included every step of the way. 💙

Seeing our participants laugh together, encourage one another, try new things, and simply enjoy being part of the community is exactly why these trips matter so much.

Another amazing day in Austin is in the books for our MissionLIFE travelers! 💙

Yesterday’s adventures were filled with exploration, laughter, learning, and memories our participants will be talking about for a long time!

The group started the morning together enjoying breakfast before heading out for a day full of adventure and community experiences. Their visit to the Texas Capitol was a huge success, and participants had an incredible time exploring such an important and historic part of our state! 🏛️

Later, the fun continued at the Museum of Illusions where there were plenty of laughs, interactive experiences, mind-bending exhibits, and opportunities for participants to try new things together. 🌀✨

Trips like these are about so much more than travel. They create opportunities for independence, confidence building, social connection, self-advocacy, decision-making, and genuine belonging in the community, regardless of their level of need. We are so proud of our participants for continuing to step outside of their comfort zones, support one another, and fully embrace these experiences.

Yesterday, a group of participants from our MissionLIFE program headed out to Austin for one of our favorite parts of the year — community trips filled with fun, friendship, growth, and unforgettable memories! 💙

At Bloom Community Services, we believe experiences like this should be accessible to everyone. That’s why ALL MissionLIFE participants, regardless of their level of support needs, have opportunities throughout the year to participate in trips both locally and out of state. Whether someone needs mobility assistance, help with daily living tasks, communication support, or simply extra encouragement navigating new experiences, we work hard to ensure everyone gets to belong, participate, and make memories alongside their peers.

So far, the group has already had an amazing time exploring the aquarium, checking into their Airbnb, grocery shopping together, relaxing, and ending the night with pizza and a pool party! 🐠🏊🍕 Some participants chose to stay back and unwind while others headed to Walmart to help shop for the trip — creating opportunities for independence, choice-making, self-advocacy, and community involvement every step of the way.

And of course, this trip also came with a special celebration! 🎉

Yesterday was all about celebrating his kindness, laughter, the memories he creates, and the joy he brings to those around him. We hope his birthday was filled with happiness, fun, love, and everything that makes him smile.

Last Friday we had the joy of celebrating one of our very own, Brianna, at her beautiful baby shower as she prepares to welcome another precious Bloom baby girl into the world this summer 💕🌸

One of the things that makes our Mission LIFE program so special is the genuine connection and sense of community shared between participants and staff. In fact, outside of transportation coordination, bathroom breaks, hygiene support needs, and brief office transitions, the only times many of our participants spend extended time at our offices are for moments like baby showers, gender reveals, and birthdays.

These celebrations are about so much more than cake, decorations, and gifts (although this setup was absolutely beautiful 😍). They create meaningful opportunities for our participants to practice important social expectations in real-life settings, strengthen self-advocacy skills, and most importantly, experience a true sense of belonging and inclusion.

We are so thankful for the love, laughter, and community that filled the office Friday and cannot wait to meet the newest little Bloom baby 💙🩷 Thank you to everyone who helped make the day so special for Brianna!

We are incredibly honored to have been selected by Leadership Lake Houston Class XIV — “The Fierce 14” — as their class service project! 💙

Hosted by Partnership Lake Houston , the Leadership Lake Houston program concludes each year with a community impact project designed to positively support a local nonprofit and strengthen our community. To have Bloom Community Services chosen for that opportunity means more than we can put into words.

The Fierce 14 spent hours helping our team organize, sort, and package supplies for our upcoming summer camp programs. Their hard work will directly impact not only students with disabilities here in our local community, but also students across Nevada, Arkansas, Utah, South Carolina, Virginia, and Montana through our expanding services and supports.

We were also incredibly happy to have four of our Mission LIFE participants stop by and speak with the class about their employment journeys, personal experiences, and the things that help them feel a true sense of belonging within their community. Those conversations were meaningful reminders of why inclusive communities, opportunities, and relationships matter so deeply.

Acts of service like this create a ripple effect far beyond one day of volunteering. Because of their support, we are able to better prepare for meaningful, inclusive summer experiences that help students build confidence, independence, social connection, and life skills.

We could not be more appreciative of the time, energy, compassion, and heart this class poured into our mission. Thank you, Fierce 14, for choosing to invest in our organization, our students, and the future of inclusive communities. We are so grateful for each of you! 💙

Today, we celebrate and honor all maternal figures who lead with love, care, compassion, and strength. 🧡💙

To every mom, bonus mom, grandmother, foster parent, adoptive parent, guardian, caregiver, chosen family member, and nurturing figure — thank you for the countless ways you show up for others each and every day.

We also want to recognize that motherhood and caregiving come in many forms. Families are beautifully diverse, and today we celebrate all people who provide the comfort, guidance, advocacy, patience, and unconditional love that help others grow and thrive.

To the parents and caregivers within our Bloom family and disability community especially — your advocacy, resilience, and dedication do not go unnoticed. Thank you for all that you do to create lives filled with belonging, dignity, opportunity, and love.
