June 1st kicks off National CPR and AED Awareness Week!

Did you know that sudden cardiac arrest is a leading cause of death in the United States, yet less than half of the people who experience it receive the immediate help they need before professional medical personnel arrive?

CPR and quick access to an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) can double—or even triple—a person’s chance of survival. The biggest barrier keeping people from stepping in isn't a lack of care; it’s a lack of confidence.

At Upbeat CPR, we are on a mission to replace that hesitation with empowering, hands-on knowledge. Our certified team provides convenient, on-site emergency preparedness training, bringing top-tier CPR, AED, and First Aid certification courses directly to your location. Whether you are an individual consumer looking to protect your family, a fitness coach, a childcare provider, or a local business optimizing your workplace safety compliance, we make mastering these life-saving skills accessible and stress-free.

You don't need a medical background to be a hero. You just need the willingness to learn.

As May begins to wind down, we are looking back at a month filled with incredible milestones. From the frontlines of our hospitals to the sidelines of our sports fields and the comfort of our homes, this month was dedicated to the true lifesavers in the Houston metroplex.

This May, we were proud to stand alongside three incredible groups:

🩺 Our Incredible Nurses (Nurses Month): Thank you to the healthcare heroes in League City and the Texas Medical Center who trust Upbeat CPR for their BLS certifications. Your dedication to high-performance resuscitation keeps our community safe every single day.

🌸 Our Selfless Moms (Mother's Day): To the moms who took our Heartsaver CPR classes this month to become "Water Guardians" and household protectors—your instinct to protect is unmatched. You are your family's first line of defense.

👟 Our Athletes & Coaches (Physical Fitness Month): From the runners pushing boundaries to the coaches mastering concussion and heat safety protocols, thank you for proving that being "Texas Tough" means being prepared for anything.

At Upbeat CPR, our mission is simple: to empower the people who care for others. Whether you wear scrubs, a whistle, or the title of "Mom," we are honored to be your training partner.

Thank you, Houston, for making this May a month of heart, health, and safety!

Houston, it’s baseball and softball season! Whether you’re at a tournament in Cyprus or practice in West U, a bad hop or a stray pitch is bound to happen. But do you know the right way to handle a "bloody nose" in the dugout?

Most of us grew up being told to "lean your head back," but that’s actually a major error! Leaning back causes blood to drain down the throat, which can lead to choking or a very upset stomach.

Master the "Upbeat" Nosebleed Routine:
Lean FORWARD: Let the blood drain out, not in. Keep the chin toward the chest.
The Pinch: Forget the bridge of the nose. Firmly pinch the soft, fleshy part just below the bone.
The 10-Minute Rule: No "peeking" to see if it’s stopped! Hold constant pressure for 10 full minutes.
Pack the Kit: Always keep extra sterile gauze in your team bag for a quick cleanup.

At Upbeat CPR, we’re here to make sure every coach and "Team Mom" feels like a pro when the game gets physical. We offer injury care in Houston, bringing the certification training directly to your league or facility.
