One of my favorite things about owning Welcome To My Porch is getting to create something special for the people I love. ❤️

This weekend, Shane and I met up with my little sister, Lisa, and her boyfriend, Jordan, for an evening on beautiful Lake Conroe to celebrate her birthday. Of course, I couldn’t show up empty-handed! 😄

I had the chance to surprise her with a custom doormat, and honestly, those are some of my favorite gifts to give. There’s just something special about designing something unique for someone you love and then seeing their reaction when they realize it was made just for them.

I think just about everyone in my family has received at least one doormat from me by now… maybe two… maybe three… 😂 When you’re related to the doormat lady, custom porch decor just comes with the territory!

Seeing my creations become part of someone’s home never gets old. Whether it’s for a birthday, housewarming, wedding, holiday, or “just because,” I absolutely love helping people surprise the ones they love with something personal and meaningful.
