Senior Assistant Prosecutor Kate Kerbrat has been awarded the prestigious title of 2026 National Traffic Safety Prosecutor of the Year. This is one of the nation's highest honors recognizing excellence in prosecuting serious traffic offenses, many including fatal crashes and crashes involving serious injuries to victims.

“Kate Kerbrat represents the very best of the legal profession,” said Livingston County Prosecutor Carolyn Henry. “She has dedicated her career to seeking justice for victims and their families in some of the most tragic and complex traffic crash cases imaginable. Her compassion for victims, tireless work ethic, and exceptional courtroom advocacy have earned the respect of judges, law enforcement, fellow prosecutors, and defense attorneys. This national recognition is well deserved.”
