Howell Area Historical Society

Hello Everyone,
We are happy to announce that we will be opening in early May 2026.
It's been a year of changes for the area by the Museum with the Fire and Ice construction. The project is coming together beautifully. We are looking forward to more visitors with the increased traffic that will come our way. Our regular hours will be the same as always - Sundays from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 P.M. from May through October, except for major holidays.
Please stop by.

The Depot Museum is still closed, as of December 2025.

We will be reopening in spring of 2026 when it is safe for visitors to enter. Please stay tuned…

P.S. Our Car Show will be held during Melon Fest in August, as usual. There will be more information available in the coming months. Thank you.

2025 Melon Fest

From torrential downpours - broken tents - to wet sloppy floors in the dark - THANK YOU TO EVERYONE WHO HAS HELPED US AT CARRIAGE HOUSE!!!!! WHAT A STORM!!!• We are all wet but safe! Power is back on and life is moseying on. • Please understand that we are closed for the rest of the day as we dry and salvage all the sweet treasures that fill up Carriage House. • Everyone came together and we are eternally grateful to be in such a wonderful community! See you all tomorrow (let’s not repeat history)!

Hey Howell!

We’re at the Howell Melon Festival today from 10-2 hosting our annual car show. We have over 80 cars parked and it’s quite the crowd.

Just a reminder: We will be closed for the rest of the 2025 season due to the construction of the Fire and Ice Project.
In 2025, we will not be open on Sundays, as in previous years. Next year, we will be back, officially.
