The Browning 1886 Lever Action is a faithful commemorative reproduction of John Browning's iconic original 1886 design, which was initially produced by Wi******er. For this project, the customer requested a full refinish of the butt stock and butt plate. The work involved significant restoration: I was able to remove most of the pitting from the steel butt plate and carefully smooth over the deep gouges in the walnut stock. It was a pleasure to restore the stock for such an iconic and historically significant rifle, and I believe the results will exceed the customer's expectations.
