One of the most important parts to healing from an illness is to remove toxic relationships from your life. It seems harsh sometimes and it can feel selfish but you cannot heal in the same environment that made you sick.
Choosing to be a little selfish and learning to say no is okay. My journey to self-love and allowing someone to love me the way I deserved to be loved, is one of the things that took my health to the next level.
Our cells have memory and we have over 500 trillion cells in the body communicating daily. If the messages that you are sending yourself are anything but love then your body is going to have difficult time healing. I had to learn this the hard way but I am grateful for the ride that brought me here today.
Check in with yourself daily to ensure you are making time for yourself, making time for self-care, choosing activities that bring you joy, and most importantly, finding your tribe of peeps that love you and build you up to your best self.
What are some of the ways that you show yourself love daily?

My favorite time of year! Tamale making has been a tradition in my family since I was a little girl. For those that don’t know, I am half Hispanic - my mom is Mexican. I have memories of sitting in the kitchen with my grandma, aunts, and sisters making homemade tamales every year. I come from a long line of great cooks and because of that I love to cook. It is one of the reasons I wanted to become of chef. Some of my favorite Mexican dishes have been lost with loss of my grandmother but one thing I wanted to keep alive is the tradition of tamale making every November.
Making tamales is an art form and I have been trying to perfect my recipe for years now with the help of my mom. They are also made from love - we Hispanics show our love through food. I also show love with the care and thought of ingredients which is 100% grass fed beef, pasture raised clean fed pork, organic/non-GMO masa harina, organic spices, 100% grass fed butter, and other organic ingredients.
This year I’m thinking about selling some to the public. If you’re interested please DM me.
If only there was a smell option on IG because my kitchen smells like heaven!!
