ThermoCuff
01/08/2018
I thought it would be fun to share how much work goes into developing a product. Never knew how much detail it took!
About 3 years ago I sponsored two capstone teams from the University of Houston engineering school. "Go Coogs!" There was a thermoelectric team and a refrigeration team. Both teams were to provide a prototype that can heat/cool air from 60-105 degrees Fahrenheit. Both teams did a great job with the heat transfer analysis and the prototype build. Unfortunately neither prototype worked but we learned that the thermoelectric method is not the most efficient but durable.
We're much further along now. I'll gradually share our past to the present and what we have learned. Please provide feedback; constructive preferably!
