Here's a fun one I made at the rodeo recently. I like it even though it's a little grainy, which doesn't really bother me too much. Sometimes a little "texture" is a good thing! It's grainy because 1.) the HP5 negative was pushed two stops in development, and 2.) it's a bit of a crop. It may seem odd to push two stops for an outdoor shot, but that's a long story and the decision made a lot of sense under the circumstances. As for the crop, the negative suffered from a light leak in the camera that I had to work around to salvage the image. This light leak had been a recurring irritant in this particular Leica. I had sent it off to reputable Leica repair services to search out the problem, but it was obviously not resolved. I've since taken the camera to .camera for a look and, after shooting a test roll, I think they have resolved this mysterious issue. Thanks, Riley! It's wonderful to have such a good local resource for camera repair. #ʙʟᴀᴄᴋᴀɴᴅᴡʜɪᴛᴇᴘʜᴏᴛᴏɢʀᴀᴘʜʏ

Two more studies of stairs - the steep steps up to Montmartre in Paris with their railings and lamp posts in contrast with the simple rough steps leading down into the garden of the Musée de Montmartre. #ʙʟᴀᴄᴋᴀɴᴅᴡʜɪᴛᴇᴘʜᴏᴛᴏɢʀᴀᴘʜʏ
