It saddens and breaks my heart that an amazing woman has left us. She was everything you wanted in an employee and friend. Janaeya Carmouche had a beautiful spirit and a brilliant mind. I’ll miss her as a confidant and friend. I’ll miss her immensely.

The polls are officially closed.
It was a wonderful day at the polls, and Lone Star College Victory was my last stop. The support was overwhelming, and I’m incredibly thankful to everyone who came out and voted and to everyone who supported this campaign.
Tonight we celebrate the strength of this community and everything we’ve built together. The future is bright for District 29, and the work to move our community forward continues. Let’s go.
Out at Octavia Fields Library in Humble this morning and the line is wrapped around the building.
That is a powerful sight.
People are energized. Democrats are showing up. Folks understand what is on the line and they are making their voices heard. That is how we protect our community. That is how we move forward.
