The Landing - Houston

As our city prepares to welcome a significant influx of visitors this summer for a major international soccer tournament, we are remaining vigilant as the conditions surrounding large-scale events can create a perfect storm for increased human trafficking activity within host cities.
Helping us stock our pantry is one way you can help us prepare.
Every day we're open, survivors visit our Drop-In Center seeking practical support. Snacks, frozen meals, bottled water, and hygiene supplies all help us meet immediate needs with dignity and care.
Some of our most-needed items right now include:
➡️ Granola bars
➡️ Chips & trail mix
➡️ Bottled water
➡️ Frozen meals
➡️ K-cups & coffee supplies
➡️ Baby wipes & sanitizer products
Want to easily order from our Amazon Wishlist so the items are delivered right to us? You can find the Wishlist here: https://www.amazon.com/hz/wishlist/ls/1166X6RHQVQXP/ref=hz_ls_biz_ex
(We also operate a boutique where survivors in our city can access essential clothing items and undergarments. Right now, we are in need of cool, summer clothes to offer our clients, and we are also running short on small and medium sized bras and underwear.)
Every donation helps us create a welcoming space where survivors can find rest, nourishment, and care. 💜

Summer can bring rest and freedom for many young people... but for others, it can also increase vulnerability.
When school structures disappear, challenges like housing instability, isolation, financial pressure, and lack of supervision can become even more significant.
These circumstances can create situations where exploitation becomes easier to hide and harder to recognize.
This is why awareness matters. Because understanding vulnerability helps communities respond with greater attentiveness, support, and care for youth who may be at risk.

Are you someone who loves organization, thrives in a structured environment, and prefers to make a massive impact without the spotlight? We need your help!
The Landing receives a steady stream of generous community donations, and we need dedicated volunteers to help us transform these piles of generosity into neatly organized, ready-to-distribute resources.
This is a 100% behind-the-scenes role with no client interaction, making it perfect for introverts, groups, or anyone who loves a satisfying "before and after" organizing project.
This would be a huge support and would make a major difference! 💜

Everyone needs a place where they can feel safe, supported, and reminded that they matter. 💜
Here at The Landing, we consistently see that healing begins with being seen, heard, and treated with dignity.
For survivors of trafficking and exploitation, that can look like access to counseling, advocacy, community, practical support, and a safe place to take the next step forward.
Our goal is simple: to create an environment where hope can grow, trust can be rebuilt, and new beginnings are possible.
