G's Boudin King Cake! 👑🎉👌🏾 This is one of my most favorite things to make, all from scratch. Fresh Louisiana chicken boudin, wrapped in homemade French bread, beautifully braided, and graced with a purple/gold/green sugar glaze. Finished with green onion, Tabasco and red pepper jellies, adorned with traditional Mardi Gras beads. A phenomenal mash-up of sweet, savory, and spicy. Laissez les Bons Temps Rouler (Let the Good Times Roll)!!!

...Enslaved cooks often used peach pits as a secret seasoning. When roasted and crushed, those pits gave dishes a deep, almond-like flavor that mimicked expensive extracts they were never allowed to access. What started as a forced workaround quietly built a flavor tradition that showed up later in Southern pies, cobblers, and liqueurs.
