🛑 NEW TEXAS FOOD LAWS JUST DROPPED
As of June 22, 2025, Governor Abbott has officially signed the “Make Texas Healthy Again” bill impacting how our favorite foods are labeled, served, and sold statewide.
What does this mean for YOU?
If you run a restaurant, food truck, or sell packaged snacks especially in the African, Caribbean, or Latino food space these changes could affect your recipes, packaging, and even school meal contracts.
By 2027, any food with certain additives must have warning labels.
School meals must go additive-free by Fall 2026.
Food trucks? Your stickers and packaging need to follow the rules too.
This isn’t just about rules it’s about protecting our culture and flavor while staying in compliance.
Let’s stay informed, stay ready, and keep feeding our communities right.

City of Houston Africa Day 2025 🌍
A celebration of heritage, unity, and flavor. ✨ Thank you to the City of Houston and the Africa Day Committee for allowing us to be a part of the 8th Annual Africa Day celebration. From the music and dance to the community and cuisine it was an unforgettable tribute to the African diaspora and the legacy of Congressman Sylvester Turner.
Grubido was proud to be in the room, connecting culture through food and conversation. Here’s to more moments that honor who we are and where we come from.
💛 We’re just getting started.
