Learning that the woman who stomped that monster with her heel is a trans woman is so impactful, and on Trans Day of Remembrance. My heart breaks for the 5 lost, and I keep those injured in my thoughts as they recover. The blatant correlation of hate speech from politicians and news outlets online lead to these events. It’s not a “senseless” act. It’s terrorism. And if the police don’t want to protect us, then damnit, a heel is a good enough weapon as their guns.
