Happy Juneteenth! Today we celebrate the move of God in 1865 to abolish slavery in our nation, once and for all! June 19th was the date that hundreds of thousands of slaves were freed in Texas, almost three years after the Emancipation Proclamation.

As the Spirit of God was working in the lives of those committed to the abolitionist movement so long ago, we are thankful that He is the same today, yesterday and forever (Hebrews 13:8), and that same Spirit is at work today to make us ONE, just as He and the Father are One (John 17:21).
