Looks Good on Paper

Not my usual subject matter for drawing. Recent commissioned work.

Alphonse Mucha was an influential 20th century Art Nouveaux artist whose distinctive style continues to influence the works of many other artists to this day. He's one of those artists whose work I try not to keep around me because it makes me tend to want to do artwork the way he did. I found my Alphonse Mucha coloring book in the storage room at school in May and got the bug to draw something in that style; the first one went unfinished because I suddenly came up with a better idea. Then I purchased an Alphonse Mucha art book that further fueled the fire. I did the basic pencil sketch in May and only managed to do the bulk of the digital work in late June and early July. I present to you, "Goddess Avarice," my modern day Alphonse Mucha homage.
