With a name like BJ Hooker’s you know you are going to get some attention. Our job at Hawkeye was to make sure it was the right kind. For this branding and package design project, we had to focus on a way to deliver the brand in such a fashion that it was approachable and friendly, while also embracing the tongue-in-cheek nature of the name itself. Imagery and styles that people recognize as friendly and innocent enable the messaging and naming to be riskier. What resulted was a fun identity that has an endless vocabulary that speaks directly to the young vodka drinking crowd BJ Hooker’s Vodka is aimed at.

Bistro 72 is a casual French restaurant within Sugar Creek Country Club that has a contemporary flair paired with an authentic old-world approach to the menu selections.
It serves as a local fine dining venue for Houston patrons where they can enjoy a nice meal without the stuffiness that comes with white-glove service. It was important to the restaurant’s stakeholders that the identity has different expressions to be used for the various applications throughout the restaurant.
