The Sanders Hand

For many organizations, summer is a break.

For us at The Sanders Hand and Young Billionaires Club (YBC), it’s one of the busiest and most rewarding seasons of the year.

While our statewide YBC CTSO chapters are in their summer off-season, our team shifts its focus to serving students across our hometown of Houston through community partnerships and signature entrepreneurship programs.

This summer has been one for the books.

✔️ 37 students enrolled in our signature YBC Summer Program
✔️ Half of the cohort successfully completed the program and graduated
✔️ 3 young entrepreneurs received startup grants to help launch their businesses
✔️ Students improved their entrepreneurship and financial literacy knowledge from an 81% pre-assessment average to a 90% post-assessment average a 9% increase in just two weeks.

This month, we’ve continued the momentum through partnerships with the Office of Commissioner Rodney Ellis, serving students at the Finnigan Community Center, with another program launching later this month at Lincoln Park Community Center.

Beyond the numbers, it’s been rewarding to watch students take ownership of their ideas and build confidence with every activity, conversation, and pitch.

This is also the first summer we’ve expanded to multiple community camps across Houston. Each year, we continue reaching more students while strengthening the bridge between our local community programming and our growing statewide CTSO network.

Grateful for our staff, interns, volunteers, partners, and every family that trusts us with their students.

The summer isn’t over yet, and we’re just getting started.
