 1776, the Second Continental Congress unanimously adopted the Declaration of Independence, announcing the colonies’ separation from Great Britain.  The preamble, notably contains the entire theory of American government in a single, and inspiring passage:

“We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.—That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed,—That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Government, laying its foundation on such principles and organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their Safety and Happiness.“

The First Amendment introduced the word “freedom.” Our Freedom has been protected by the over 150 million sons and daughters who have honorably given everything. 

It is our time to stand and deliver a vote to protect our children, their freedom, the future, and our country. 

246 years ago Jefferson had seventeen days, however penned the three chapters, over the years changed seventeen times -America had the balls and honorable duty to defend our country then…and when Lincoln delivered the Gettysburg Address in November 1863, he took Jefferson’s language and transformed it into constitutional poetry. “Four score and seven years ago our fathers brought forth on this continent, a new nation, conceived in Liberty, and dedicated to the proposition that all men are created equal,”. Slavery was abolished from the future but not our history books.
