🚨 TOW TRUCK FAIL DURING TEXAS FLOODING 😳🌊

What started as an attempt to rescue a stranded vehicle ended with another vehicle becoming part of the problem.

Video from Marshall, Texas shows a towing operation going terribly wrong as floodwaters overwhelmed the scene, leaving the vehicle partially submerged during the recovery attempt.

The incident happened as heavy rainfall caused significant flash flooding across parts of Marshall, where multiple vehicles became stranded and emergency crews responded to several water rescues. Officials reported no injuries, but the flooding was severe enough to shut down portions of Highways 59 and 80.

It’s also a reminder that floodwater is often deeper and more powerful than it appears. Texas officials continue urging drivers to follow one simple rule:

🚔Keeping Texas Roadways Safe During FIFA World Cup🚔

Over the course of a four-day traffic enforcement initiative, SETX District 2B Troopers  worked tirelessly across I10 and U.S. 59 highways to help reduce crashes, deter criminal activity and keep travelers safe during increased traffic associated with FIFA World Cup events.

🖤 REMEMBERING JOSHUA BAER (1975–2026)

Texas lost one of its most influential entrepreneurs this week.

Joshua Baer, founder and CEO of Capital Factory, died Tuesday night after a business jet crashed near Laredo while returning to Texas from Mexico. Five other people on board survived. Authorities continue investigating the cause of the crash.

Born on December 25, 1975, Baer became one of the driving forces behind Austin’s rise as a major technology hub.

He launched his first startup from his dorm room at Carnegie Mellon University in 1996 and spent the next three decades helping entrepreneurs turn ideas into successful companies.

In 2009, he founded Capital Factory, an organization that grew into one of the most influential startup accelerators and venture networks in the country. Through Capital Factory, thousands of founders received mentorship, funding opportunities, office space, investor connections, customers, and support to build their businesses.

Baer was often referred to as the “Godfather of Austin’s Startup Scene” because of the enormous impact he had on Texas entrepreneurship. He also taught entrepreneurship at the University of Texas and served as Entrepreneur in Residence for the Department of Computer Science, helping inspire the next generation of innovators.

Beyond business, friends and colleagues described him as a mentor, connector, investor, and someone who genuinely wanted others to succeed. His personal mission was simple:

“I help people quit their jobs and become entrepreneurs.”

Joshua Baer is survived by his wife, Amy, and their three children.

His influence helped shape Austin’s tech ecosystem, supported hundreds of startups, and impacted countless careers across Texas and beyond.

Rest in peace, Joshua Baer.
