This is the highest, optimal grade of match from Uji, Japan. The tea is hand plucked and are from the highest quality tea leaves. Tea plants used for matcha are fertilized thrice as much as for other teas such as sencha which gives matcha an abundance more nutrients than other teas. Furthermore, since matcha is powder ground from tea leaves, the consumer is taking not only tea liquor but the plant itself at the same time. This not only enhanced the flavor and aroma of the tea but also provide the consumer with optimal amount of nutrients possible with every grain of tea. This is the only grade that can be used as ceremonial koicha because it is sweeter than regular ceremonial grade matcha. Typically pinnacle grade tea are sold within Japan only and are super rare. Therefore, we only have 5 cans in stock.
