Today is a special day. On October 1st of 2014, 10 years ago today, PlasTex Precision Manufacturing opened its doors. What a ride it has been. There have been plenty of ups, and plenty of downs (including two floods), and lots of hard work. We have so much gratitude for the friends, associates, vendors, employees, and customers that have helped us succeed along the way. God is good and we, without a doubt, have felt His helping hand throughout the last 10 years. We are truly thankful. Now, let's go do 10 more (minus the floods)!!!!
Having fun machining some 3/4" thick natural nylon today on the router. Nylon is an incredibly strong material with high compressive strength, stiffness, and great abrasion resistance. Fillers such as glass and a variety of lubricants can be added to the material to enhance strength and aid in friction reduction. Applications for nylon include crane sheaves, wear pads, gears and bushings. Our passion here is plastic machining...give us a call and let us know how PlasTex Precision Manufacturing can help you!!
PlasTex Precision is excited to add a new CNC router to our machine lineup. Our SmartShop II CNC router features automatic tool change, a 48” x 96” vacuum table, and surfacing capabilities. This will allow us to manufacture flat parts, both large and small, with great precision and maximum efficiency. Upgraded spindle horsepower gives us the ability to machine a wide variety of materials including Acrylic, Polycarbonate, HDPE, UHMW, Acetal, Nylon, and many more. We are pleased to announce that we have moved to a new facility located at 12155 Cutten Rd. in Houston! With a spacious 5000 square feet of manufacturing floor, we are able to bring in additional machines to enhance our capabilities as well as stock more product for Texas Plastic Sheet Supply. This month we celebrate the five year anniversary of PlasTex Precision Manufacturing's opening! What better way to commemorate this occasion than to spend a beautiful afternoon raising scholarship dollars for local students. We'd like to thank our customers, families, and friends who have supported us along the way. Looking forward to many more!

What a wonderful weekend to get out and support our local communities! We are proud to play a role in supporting our local schools, K9s 4 Cops, and the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo. A great couple of days for some wonderful causes!
