Dear community,

I rarely ask for help, but this situation has deeply impacted my family, especially my mother. She’s battling severe sciatica, spinal stenosis, and three herniated discs, which have left her unable to walk or work. Despite months of physical therapy, injections, and medication, surgery is now her only chance to regain mobility and prevent permanent loss of function.

Unfortunately, she’s exhausted all her financial resources, including her 401K, in trying to manage her condition. This has led to a lapse in her mortgage and the threat of eviction, which has been devastating for my parents as they also care for my younger sister, who is autistic.

The total cost for surgery and rehabilitation is $25,000.

This has been incredibly hard to navigate while preparing for my first solo exhibition, and transitioning into a new job, but I’m holding faith that community and compassion can help us get through this.
