Histrionix Learning Company recently launched a new videography and moviemaking service called Histrionix Learning Media that we offer our campus clients to document the powerful stories in their schools and share them with the wider world.

We are about to release our first film series called Sharpstown Stories that shines light on so called newcomer students from Afghanistan at Sharpstown High School in Houston Independent School District who are refugees and asylees from their war torn country.

Their struggle to achieve the American dream given the great challenges they face is the theme of our film series - and is a story too few people know, even here in Houston, Texas.

For this reason, I have submitted it as a second separate panel at SXSW EDU in Austin, Texas.

Please help send us there by voting for our panel, so we can share these Sharpstown Stories with the world because they deserve an audience.

Histrionix Learning Company recently launched a classroom support service and teacher retention tool called Pro Teacher.

To help shine light on the important and impactful work we do to build teacher capacity and reduce teacher stress, we applied as a panel to present at SXSW EDU in Austin, Texas.

Part of the process requires the public at large to weigh in and vote to help pick the panels that present there.

Histrionix Learning Company Partners with Urban Enrichment Institute for Summer 2020!

This week kickstarts our fifth straight summer camp partnership with UEI (formerly Fifth Ward Enrichment Program).

UEI provides engaging summer camp programs that build skills, and provide mentorship and paid internship opportunities to boys and young men living in the historic Fifth Ward in Houston, Texas.

This summer, Histrionix Learning is providing Game Jam and Just Add Beats to UEI summer camp students.

Game Jam is an entrepreneurial plus game design program that encourages students to set up their very own video game companies, and release new game titles they themselves create, using the classic game-making video game called Gamestar Mechanic.

And Just Add Beats is an entrepreneurial plus audio design program that encourages students to start their own record labels, and mini media companies, and produce beats, jingles, sound effects, podcasts and more using professional grade equipment.

Both programs will be provided on line this summer, due to covid concerns, so UEI students will still get the top notch summer camp experience they have come to expect over the last 35 years.

Histrionix is happy to be partners-in-play with UEI again this summer, and honored as ever to be part of this great lasting legacy.
