This virtual session will explore TxDOT’s Project Nexus initiative and the future of Advanced Air Mobility in Texas, including UAS integration, aviation infrastructure, and emerging transportation technologies shaping the future of regional mobility.

TAG Executive Director Christina Cabral and several TAG Board Members recently met with Liberty County Judge Jay Knight for a productive conversation focused on the transportation priorities impacting Liberty County residents and the growing importance of the area to the Gulf Coast region.
These conversations are critical as our region continues to grow and transportation connectivity remains essential to economic development, mobility, and quality of life across Southeast Texas.

Darrin Willer, Vice Chair, is a nationally recognized transportation leader with more than 34 years of experience delivering complex infrastructure projects. His work spans Texas and the nation, and his leadership continues to influence how large-scale transportation solutions are planned and delivered.
Michael Pearson, Board Treasurer, brings more than four decades of experience in finance and banking. Since joining the board in 2017, his leadership has provided steady financial guidance, supporting TAG’s continued growth and long-term impact across Houston and beyond.

The State of Mobility Luncheon brought together leaders from across the region for an impactful conversation on the future of transportation and connectivity in Houston.
We were honored to welcome Mayor John Whitmire as this year’s keynote speaker — marking his third time addressing the State of Mobility Luncheon. Mayor Whitmire shared his vision for Houston’s growth, the importance of strategic infrastructure investment, and the need for stronger regional collaboration to improve mobility and quality of life across our city.
We also proudly recognized Senator Robert Nichols with the Transportation Achievement Award for his outstanding leadership and lasting contributions to transportation and infrastructure across Texas.
