Attending the 43rd Annual David W. Smith Workshop on Malformations and Morphogenesis at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

Dr. David W. Smith’s legacy in pediatric genetics and dysmorphology continues to inspire this meeting. His vision to combine careful clinical observation with genetics and his commitment to understanding both normal and abnormal development remain the heart of the workshop. It’s a space where the “old-school” approach meets new technologies, and where dialogue between clinicians and scientists shape the future of the field.

Thankful to Prof Richard Finnell for introducing me to it and happy to present our work on the molecular mechanisms associated to the teratogenic effect of Valproic Acid on embryo development.
