Public hearing will be held today (2/28/23) on the proposed change to TX law, which would: 1) make possession of up to 1 ounce of ma*****na a class C Midemeanor (up to a $500 fine), 2) make possession of less than 2 ounces of ma*****na a non-arrestable offense (of thats all you’re alleged to have done), and 3) sets up a system to offer low-cost expunctions for certain low level ma*****na convictions.
