Thinking about my parents mandarin tree. It died a few years ago after a freeze, but it was around for as long as I can remember. Every Christmas and new year we would make bags and give to friends. Yes, it’s sad it’s not around anymore, growing wild and free, offering shade on a hot day, but sometimes something special is around for a bit and we can appreciate the moments we had with it. Everything should be rooted in gratitude. And gratitude eventually brings joy. Gracias por las mandarinas arbolito de mi niñez.
