The mics we used to record the Axiom Jazz Trio.

Edens as a mid/side pair to capture the room and the overall sound of the band. These make everything sound expensive and beautiful. You could almost just use these and get a great sounding record.

M160s for the drum overheads; such a great balance of warmth and clarity, and they’re cardio’s pattern works great in this room.

M82 on the snare and M80 on the kick. These do a great job capturing natural sounding detail.

RE20 for the bass. Great sounding low end and midrange detail. Good rejection of the sound from the rest of the band.

SM7b for the saxophones and flute, great sounding midrange and a nicely softened high end that compliments these instruments well. Great isolation from band.
