Unschooling for All
I haven’t been sharing much these past few months because, well, you guys know why. Covid has taken over everything and turned so many of our neighbors and peers who are parents onto their heads. As an unschooling family, I am so thankful that we’ve been on this journey since before our kids were born but my heart goes out to my friends with kids in the public school system. I know things are difficult and contentious for folks with kids in school, and I just don’t want to add fuel to the fire. So, fellow unschooling families, what do you think we can do to help our mainstreamed friends the most right now? Should we be sharing helpful links guiding people towards the unschooling life or should we be offering our unconditional support? I’ve been practicing the latter for lack of better direction but I feel so helpless. I hate to see people struggling when it’s so much easier for parents and kids alike to let go and let the kids find their own rhythm. Thoughts?
