Mama once told me, “There’s no such thing as friends only associates. There’s family, people that love you, colleagues, and enemies.” Either you will be for you or against yourself. You either stand up for yourself, or bend over backwards for someone else, was the thought process in my household. Then my dad looked at me and says, “I hope you’re listening, and, it’s okay to be humble, just don’t let your humility humiliate we.” Understandingly, knowledge is the experience of wisdom in action together from that you are able to find comprehension. With his Caribbean accent, heavy handed playfully tapping me in the chest. “Yuh cyaan expect nun fah dem tuh respect chu if yah nah respect fah self.” Yessuh, nuff said.

The beautiful life lesson of gaining control to the comprehensive perceptive discernment I gathered is thinking, we always, without question give thanks to GOD; that goes without saying. Yet, we rarely acknowledge the GODDESS’. If at all, there is one who believes she exists, and that he has one by him side: I, yes, I say, “I do.”

Coming up in life, family has been an important thing for me. Learning from the experiences of knowing what I lived, and searching for what I seen wasn’t there. That part is called “FAITH.” It’s evidence to me, and it’s the substance of things that I hoped for, yearned to discover. One of my brothers of my father whom I knew but didn’t get the full opportunity to experience a deeper bond than I may have wanted. The good thing is, my father was the bond that holds us together! Rest in peace, power and purity brother Johnny. GOD is smiling knowing know good and faithful you were.

22 years ago I never thought last year would our final goodbye to our anniversary. 22 years ago I couldn’t believe or never imagine that today you would not be by my side to celebrate the happiness moment of our lives. 2003 today, we made an oath that as long as we both shall live, we will be together. Thank GOD for eternal life! I miss you so much! I thank you for sending me someone to continue our legacy with you and your spirit highly appreciated and loved to move into the next chapter of love, life, happiness, joy and the gift of favor from GOD!
