Last week, LISC Houston explored Denver Harbor in the second of three community development bus tours. Attended by local leaders, partners, and stakeholders, the tour provided valuable insight into the neighborhood's assets, history, ongoing initiatives, and the organizations working to strengthen the community.

What does it take to build a stronger community? For residents in Spring Branch, the answer is increasingly about having a seat at the table.
In June, Memorial Assistance Ministries (MAM) and LISC Houston brought together local residents and Getting Ahead participants for a Civic Engagement Workshop that explored how everyday people can influence the decisions that shape their neighborhoods.
