Timing is everything.

I recently had a conversation that highlighted how crucial timing can be.

A client of mine was involved in an auto accident and subsequently hospitalized. He had health insurance, but it wasn't until he needed physical therapy after discharge that he realized his policy didn't cover outpatient physical therapy.

But here's where timing played a crucial role...

1. Luckily, he was hospitalized during the ACA Open Enrollment period (November 1st to January 15th) and...

2. Had a knowledgeable hospital case worker aware of my expertise in ACA plans. This coincidental combination allowed him to secure an ACA plan covering the physical therapy he needed.

Imagine if this had happened outside the Open Enrollment window?

The situation could have been drastically different, possibly delaying his access to essential therapy.

This story illustrates a vital point: Timing is everything.

For anyone under 65 needing an ACA Plan, remember that Open Enrollment ends on January 15th. This is your last chance to get an ACA plan without qualifying for a Special Enrollment Period (SEP).

So, if you're reading this and need health insurance for yourself or clients, your timing couldn't be better.

If you have employer health insurance, you've probably got the best coverage.
