The most difficult part of growth is often the refusal to accept that a season has finished. We tend to cling to the familiar, even when it has clearly run its course. It is easy to confuse a comfortable past with God's best for our future.

If you find yourself struggling to release something you once held dear, consider that God may be the one closing the door.

We often mistake the end of a season for a failure, but it is frequently an act of mercy. God removes what we think we want so that He can provide what we actually need.

True faith is the willingness to let go of the good to make room for the BETTER! Isaiah 43:19 reminds us that God is always doing a new thing, but we often miss it because we are too busy trying to keep the old things alive.

Comfort is often viewed as the ultimate measure of success, yet it rarely builds a lasting foundation. When things come too easily, our roots remain shallow.

God sometimes allows the aspects of our lives that are no longer serving us to dry up so that we are forced to drive our roots down deeper.

The prophet Jeremiah speaks to this reality in Jeremiah 17:7-8, where he describes the person who trusts in the Lord as a tree planted by the water that sends out its roots by the stream. That tree does not fear when heat comes, for its leaves remain green.

When God dries up the surface-level comforts, He is preparing us to withstand the heat so that we do not wither when challenges arise and AMEN for that.
