My worst nightmare happened when I launched this account, a lesson and an introduction.

Hey y'all! For those of you who haven't met me yet my name is Emily! Im a Texas girl, dog mom, youth pastors wife, pastor in training, and owner of EC Mosaic Design!

So what do we do here? We provide faith based businesses, speakers, and authors words of encouragement for their businesses, business advice that brings glory back to God (without sketchy new age manifestation), and we service clients with web design, social media management, GORGEOUS design work, and admin support!

So like I said before, my worst nightmare happened when I launched my business account.

Within 24 hours, my account was compromised. I opened a business only instagram account, brought all my followers over, and lost it all.

Instagram shut down the account- I was left high and dry before I could even make an introductory post. Since then- I've learned a few secrets to keeping your instagram security up and to kick off this new account- I'm sharing it all with you.

1) I know its easy to make all your social passwords the same. I know you think it will never happen to you- you'll never get hacked, but DO NOT DO IT.

2) Aim for between 10-20 characters

3) Change your password every quarter. Make it part of your quarter to dos.

4) Do not use words, names, birthdays, or anything that someone could figure out about you pretty easily.

5) Keep a folder on your phone with your backup content so if this does ever happen, you do not lose all of your precious hard work.

Now- introduce yourself in the comments! I am so excited to get to know you all on here!

2021 was a WiLd ride!

Here are some of the biggest highlights

-I grew in my heart for helping others and realized that beyond helping children, I love helping people. I love identifying, learning about, and helping needs in my community and needed a life style that allows me to pursue passion projects. Teaching confined me to one of my passions and made me miserable feeling like I couldn’t give serve any of my other passions.

-I experimented with a pop up cupcake shop to teach myself the top needed business services so that I could help others with their business dreams.

-I launched a business that would give the freedom and flexibility to pursue passion projects. I’ve grown my business and now operate as an LLC and have projects booked enough in advance and enough monthly clients to pay myself a consistent salary!

-I revisited Texas tech for my in person graduation ceremony

-We payed off ALL student debt

-Bernard and I felt called to move to Houston and join the work of Lake Houston Church!

-Bernard and I were blessed with a home to live in and a car!

-I was diagnosed with endometriosis that threw a slight curveball, keeping me out of work for a month, and requiring surgery.

-I officially accepted my own call to ministry and received my local ministry license! I am beginning the process to become β€œPastor Emily” in 2022. (Praise God for aΒ  church that affirms women in ministry!)

-My best friend Rebecca Aleman had her sweet baby boy!!!

-I joined a team working to provide emergency childcare in HOUSTON with Safe Families!

-Our family grew by one pup and my sister Alissa Cisneros graduated from Texas Tech University

2021 challenged me in so many ways. I grew in ways I didn’t imagine I would, and learned so much about myself and the gifts the Lord has entruΒ sted me with. I am so excited to see what 2022 has in store!
