Post storm assessments…
Are critical.

After a major storm, the first priority is always safety and restoration.

But once immediate hazards are addressed, infrastructure owners need more than a visual damage review.

They need to know what failed, what was weakened, and what could become the next failure point.

Storm damage is not always limited to what is already on the ground.

Structures that remain standing may still have compromised components, damaged connections, movement at the base, or stress-related issues that need to be evaluated.

That is where post-storm inspection becomes critical.

Exo supports utilities before and after major weather events with inspection, assessment, and field data and restoration services designed to help owners make informed decisions.

Before the storm or after the storm, the goal is the same:

Reduce risk.
Improve reliability.
Protect the system.

Not every infrastructure risk
is obvious from the ground.

Some of the most serious vulnerabilities are hidden inside the structure, below grade, around connections, at the base plate, or in areas where corrosion, fatigue, decay, or damage are not immediately visible.

That is what makes hurricane season such a serious reliability concern.

High winds do not create every failure.

Many times, they expose the failure path that was already developing.

Proactive inspection gives infrastructure owners a clearer picture of what is happening before severe weather arrives.

The goal is not to inspect everything blindly.

The goal is to identify where risk is, prioritize the problems, and target the right structures before the next storm puts the system under stress.

Storm resilience starts with seeing what others miss.

Who knew it?
Light poles fail...

While Exo is well known for ensuring the structural integrity of utility assets, oil and gas infrastructure, renewable and conventional energy-generating structures, and telecommunications structures, some of our most significant work involves ensuring that the lighting structures at stores, schools, stadiums, and roadways in your community are safe.

In fact, we inspect, remediate, and replace the lighting structures in more than half of the top ten U.S. retailers— the very places where your families shop every week.
