We’re meeting up at Box 13 ArtSpace to see their new exhibition openings—Sandra de la Rosa’s “Border Theory,” Milagros Collective’s “soft goods,” and Chelsea Clarke’s “Self-Soothe.” The reception is from 1pm–5pm.

Plarn + Sustainable Fiber Arts Workshop
Lawndale Art Center
Join Amanda Powers and Jen Bootwala for a plarn + sustainable fiber arts discussion and workshop—part 1 of a series hosted by Open MFA organizers. Learn how to crochet and knit with recycled plastic and fabric to reduce landfill waste and explore techniques to reuse existing fiber in new ways. Whether you are looking to learn these craft practices for the first time, or you want to share and sharpen your skills, this workshop is free and open to all. Digital resources and physical materials will be provided, feel free to bring additional materials of your own. Special thanks to Lawndale Art Center for opening up their space for this workshop! This event will be held indoors, masks are encouraged.
