When Angela was a little girl, she'd line up her stuffed animals, call roll, and hand out ribbons for "great job done." 🎨💛

She always knew she was meant to teach, but the road to getting there was anything but simple.

Angela lost her parents when she was just 9 months old. When she found out at 17, her world shifted, and she was steered toward law school instead. She earned a degree in English and the Arts of Literature, graduated- and then made a pivot that changed everything. She went back to school and found her way to education.

Today, Angela works alongside an incredible team at a Corpus Christi elementary school, where she helps teach pre-K students and brings her lifelong love of art into every classroom moment.

She credits it all to the people who held her up along the way — her children Miguel and Aurora, and her partner Mark, who set up her computer for mentor meetings, cheered her on through every challenge, and loved her through every step.
